Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc is a red grape native to Bordeaux but now grown around the world. Although mostly used for blending in its place of origin, it’s now commonly made as a varietal wine in the Loire Valley, California, Argentina, and elsewhere. Cabernet Franc produces aromatic wines with flavors of raspberries, tobacco, bell pepper, and violets. It is a parent of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Carménère.
