Pinot Noir

Originally associated with the great red wines of Burgundy, Pinot Noir is now one of the most widely cultivated red grapes in the world. The variety gets its name from French words for pine and black, which represent its tight, pine cone-shaped grape clusters. Pinot Noir is known for producing light to medium-bodied wines with high acid and low levels of tannin, as well as world class sparkling wines.
